This little gadget works well and keeps all the bugs out of your sewer system when your rig is stored or the sewer system is not in use. It helps keep your system free from lingering odor also.

Use one regular snap on sewer drain fitting.
Clamp a piece of screen over the end.
When tanks are not in use, flush them really good and place this gadget on the sewer connection of the RV, open all tank valves. It allows air into the system to dry it out and keeps all the little crawly critters out.

Usually after I put this gadget on the sewer system I pull the RV about ten miles to make sure all the water is out of the system. (Again make sure it is well flushed) I also do this after I have winterized all the drains with the pink stuff.

This one probably still costs less than five dollars as most everyone either has of knows someone who has a sewer fitting and some screen they saved for that perfect time. The host clamp is a dollar at the dollar store.

Happy DIY RVing.
