anxiously awaiting the 2009 Workamper Florida PAR-TAY!

If you want to have a workamper get together in Florida, add your name, location and dates available.

Lets see how many can attend and pick a location that is convenient to most.

There has been a lot of talk on these forums regarding a PAR-TAY in Florida.

We are ready, someone needs to take the bull by the horns and orginize it.

We need a list of interested people, and location they are in as well as dates available.

LETS GIVE IT A GO

OK let's get this thing started.

1. Sharon and Larry.
2. The Boogity Express.
3. Currently located in the Florida Everglades National Park. We have a few other workampers who are interested also.
4. Available any day until the end of March as long as we have at least a one week notification.
5. We can travel as far north as Avon Park (Serengetti's house - hint, hint) and back for a one-day get together.
6. We have two big dogs so an overnight visit may not be good for us.

Hey Jon or Kathleen, does your park have a party room or rec hall that could be used for a get together like this? Your location is somewhat central to most of us in the state of Florida. It's too bad that FL is so long and narrow.

Jon & Kathleen we are available on Fridays and Sundays. Mr Leigh works the other days but give us a notice and we will come as long as it is not to far south your area would be good for us.

Okay, here we go…
Now that the Holidays are over we can start to plan the gathering. We would be willing to host the group here at our RV resort if the group is not too large. If the group is over 10 or so, we can go to a local state park which has a day use area and covered pavilions. It is Highland Hammock SP, which is just outside of Sebring. Sebring is somewhat south central, so perhaps the workampers further north and in the panhandle area would like to set-up their own get-together.

Send us an email or pm with the days you are off work and would be available. We are kind of looking at Sunday, Jan 25 right now (no football games that day), but that can be changed if necessary.

Since future fulltimers are allowed to come , Dori & I would like to be included if possible ! We are going on our last vacation before we start fulltiming on April 23 We will be in orlando from Jan 12 thru Jan 24 .we can drive anywhere. It will be fun meeting Real-live workampers!

Hey guys (Serengeti), It will be good to see you again, haven't shook your hand since Montana. Paul and Joan (Buffaloman) here you can tentatively count us in. We will drive down in a car and stay with friends who live in Sebring.

We know where Highlands Hammock is as our friends just live about a half mile from the entrance.

We are available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and would probably come down for the weekend.

We are in Edisto Beach SC and plan to visit friends and family in FL. We are looking for our next adventure. We would love to attend a get together if we are near. We have friends and family in Ocala, New Port Richey, and Melbourne. Hope all works out
