Our current location is Chama NM, and I am thrilled that the RV park actually looks like the pics on the website. . .they said it was right on the banks of the Chama River, and it's true. . .and the river is accessible. . .so we can practice our fly fishing. . .
We are going to take a week's break right here. . .and catch up, while the Labor Day Weekend travelers do their thing. . .
There are so many wonderful out of the way places in this great country. . .share why your location is special. . .

We spent the past few months in the Outer Banks (OBX) in North Carolina. It was on our "Bucket List" and we are so glad we had this great opportunity to hang out here but at the same time, we are eager to get back on the road again in just two days.
For anyone who has ever thought about visiting the OBX, we say, "DO"!
It took a few weeks to get use to being on a sandbar, in some places you can throw a stone across it from the Sound to the Ocean without being a good thrower which was a bit concerning. We had a great time and for more of our stories about this really special place, check out our blog, we will be adding more stories in the next few weeks as well.

We are in Saco, Maine and love the lighthouses and the sea coast scenery. The weather in Maine was bad this summer (way too much rain), but the last week has been perfect.

We've Workamped at a rustic campground on Rollins Lake just outside of Grass Valley, CA. Most activities revolve around boating and fishing. Besides unrelenting 100 degree days and clear blue skies for months. We're also surrounded by the fantastic forests' of the sierra Nevada's and two really neat small gold mining towns. We'd love to stay in this area long term. However it does snows here, and I left that cold life behind many storms ago.

We are in South Dakota, about 5 miles from Mt. Rushmore. Must sees are obviously Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial. But we love the wildlife at Custer State Park, Deadwood, Spearfish and just so many other awesome places in the Black Hills.

We are in Irvine CA, across from the Cup-O-Noodles factory, in a lovely green belt, three miles from Costco, Sams Club and Fry's Electronics. I doesn't get any better than that!

We are on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon - and what makes this place special would have to be the deep blue skies and the birds. Stellar Jays, Eastern Bluebirds, Hummingbirds, Sap suckers and massive Woody Woodpeckers.

We are also at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I love it that the canyon looks different every day. The Kaibab National Forest is beaufitul, too, especially in the fall when the leaves change.

We're in Fulton, TX, working on our tans, waiting for the return of the hummingbirds and watching the skimmers & spoonbills. Because of the drought, the turtles are leaving what's left of our ponds, and every now & then we have to help one cross the road. Pretty soon it'll be time to hitch up & hit the road south, to our winter gig.

We are on the Southern Oregon Coast. It is a place like no other. From the haystacks in the Pacific to the Sea Lions on the rocks it is beautiful beyond words. Photos don't do this part of the country justice.
Add to that the Chinook Salmon are running up the Rogue River and hubby landed his first one it just doesn't get much better.....
We are blessed to see this coast and consider ourselves one of the lucky ones to have found this wonderful lifestyle.

We are in Union, Illinois. Doesn't sound like much, but we are in the heart of farm country and have had a great summer. We are about 50 miles from Chicago, so if we get that urge for big city it is close enough. But mostly we have just "recharged" this summer and this is a beautiful place to do that.

At the moment we are in Whetstone, AZ working on our newly purchased winter home and home base. We love the area and from our home we can see the Huachuca Mountains, Whetstone Mountains, Dragoon Mountains, Mule Mountains and that is just the close ones, others loom in the distance beckoning us to explore them. Beautiful deserts, awe inspiring mountains and a quiet small town close enough to all services and anything cities have to offer.
Yes by some peoples standards we no longer fit the mold of full timers, but since there is no classification for most timers we still consider ourselves full timers as we will only be here long enough to get the things done we want done before we hook up and hit the road again. If you have not explored SE Arizona and all it has to offer you need to give it a whirl.
I am sure there will be some day trips and short excursions this winter as we already have hitch itch and will go into withdrawal if we don't head on down the road.
Happy RVing all.

We are workamping in the Black Hills of S.D. this summer and loving every moment. One of our enjoyments is exploring all the dirt roads, taking photos, and taking in the scenery. Everywhere we look, the scenery is fantastic. Yesterday we stopped to watch a bull buffalo standing in the middle of the road facing off a big motor home. Neither moved for several minutes, it was halarious. This has to be one of the most gorgeous parts of the USA. We don't want to leave, but will be soon, onto another workamping adventure.
