PublishAmerica Presents Truly Zula by Arline Chandler

Frederick, MD. March 5, 2009 -- PublishAmerica is proud to present Truly Zula: Daughter of the Ozarks by Arline Chandler of Heber Springs, Arkansas. Zula Turney, the subject of the book, is Chandler’s aunt. Mrs. Turney resides in Quitman and recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

Like a steadfast anchor, Mrs. Turney weathered life’s storms with a strength she refined growing up at Wilburn, Arkansas, during the 1920s. Truly Zula is her story of a family, poor in material goods, but rich in love. Hard work framed her childhood with lessons of “making do or doing without.” Zula’s passion for education pulled her from her Ozark roots long enough to earn a teaching certificate. After a semester in a one-room school, she married her one true love. Babies came in rapid succession and the dark-haired beauty drew from her well of faith to weather the years of diapers, bottles, and sleepless nights. While mothering four children, Zula started a lifelong career of teaching fourth graders in Quitman public schools. Her labors of love for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and students come to life on the pages of Truly Zula: Daughter of the Ozarks.

As Zula Turney’s niece, Chandler is the recipient of the subject’s lessons in life, labor, and love. Her aunt is her role model for motherhood, teaching, and growing old gracefully. Chandler is the author of three books and numerous articles for the RVing and entertainment industries.

Chandler’s book, Road Work II: The RVers Ultimate Income Resource Guide is at the top of Workamper News' bestseller list. She is the featured author on their store site: https://store.workamper.com/
